Who operates this site
PZ Troubleshooter is an independent, fan-made Project Zomboid troubleshooting website. It is not affiliated with The Indie Stone. For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact the site operator at privacy@pztroubleshooter.org.
Information this site currently handles
This is a static troubleshooting site. It does not currently offer user accounts, comments, or contact forms, and it does not intentionally collect personal information through those features.
The site’s search and filters run in your browser. They do not need to send your search text to this site’s server.
Your analytics choice
Google Analytics is optional. When you first visit, the site asks whether you accept or reject analytics. Google Analytics does not load before you accept. Rejecting analytics does not limit access to any guide or feature.
Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under pz-analytics-consent so the site can remember it. This preference is used only to remember your choice. You can review or withdraw consent at any time through Cookie settings. Withdrawing consent stops further Google Analytics measurement in that browser and removes accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies.
Google Analytics 4
If you accept analytics, this site loads Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and how troubleshooting pages are used. Google may process information such as pages viewed, general device and browser details, referring pages, approximate location, and interactions with the site. This site does not use Google Analytics for personalized advertising and keeps Google advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization disabled.
Google Analytics may set first-party cookies including _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish visitors and sessions. Google documents a default expiration of up to two years for these cookies, although their actual lifetime can be shortened by browser controls, consent withdrawal, or configuration changes. Google Analytics event data is retained according to the retention setting configured for this site's Analytics property.
Google processes Analytics information under the Google Privacy Policy. See also How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Depending on where you live, Google may process information in countries outside your own.
Cloudflare hosting and Web Analytics
This site is hosted through Cloudflare Pages and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare describes Web Analytics as a cookie-free service. Cloudflare may nevertheless process routine technical request and performance information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, requested path, browser details, timestamps, and page-performance measurements. Cloudflare's handling of that information is governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Google Search Console
The site operator uses Google Search Console to understand how pages appear in Google Search. Search Console does not require this site to place an additional tracking cookie in your browser. Reports available to the operator are provided through Google Search services.
Browser controls and your rights
You may reject optional analytics, withdraw a previous choice, clear site data in your browser, or use browser privacy and content-blocking controls. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to ask about, access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of personal information, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Contact privacy@pztroubleshooter.org to make a privacy request. Google and Cloudflare may need to handle requests concerning information they control directly.
