Project Zomboid Normal Termination Fix

Treat Normal Termination as a server ending state and use the preceding log to choose a mod-download, database, memory, or configuration branch.

  1. Keep logs.zip and the relevant host or server console before restarting.
  2. Read upward from “Normal Termination” to the first exception or failed operation.
  3. If a Workshop download failed after cancelled initialization, repair that item and let the next start finish uninterrupted.
  4. If a mod is named, test without it and its dependencies on a new server world.
  5. If memory, a port, or a specific file is named, follow only that branch.
  6. Compare the next log after one change; do not combine several destructive fixes.

A common mod-download branch

Official support warns that cancelling initialization can produce this status. If the log shows a specific Workshop download failure, stop cleanly, preserve the config, repair that item, and allow the full initialization to complete.
